DSP Group and Yoga Systems Introduce a Ready-Made ULE OTT Reference Design With Fully-Managed Cloud Service, Enabling a Fast Time to Market

LOS ALTOS, Calif., Nov. 5, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DSP Group®, Inc. (Nasdaq:DSPG) a leading global provider of wireless chipset solutions for converged communications, and Yoga Systems, a leading provider of cloud based platform for smart home and IoT, announced today a joint ULE (Ultra Low Energy) OTT (Over the Top) reference design for IoT (Internet of Things) solutions. Based on the ULE standard, the joint solution leverages DSP Group's advanced IP/DECT/ULE SoC and firmware, managed by Yoga Systems' cloud-based IoT management and rules engine.

DSP Group's portfolio of ULE solutions offers extended range of up to 70m indoors, a simple star topology and a dedicated interference-free RF band. The joint DSP Group – Yoga solutions consist of SoC's and firmware, addressing both nodes and concentrators in gateways or OTT's. DSP Group's DVF99 VoIP and ULE SoC family provide a cost effective single chipset solution for OTT-based products, offering direct interaction with cloud based services.

Yoga Smart Home is an intelligent smart home platform that connects wired and wireless security detectors, cameras, thermostats, smart plugs, lights, entertainment systems, locks, appliances, and more. Yoga Smart Home enables management of these items from anywhere, via any internet-connected device.

"DSP Group has an excellent portfolio of ULE and DECT-based solutions, which are highly-compatible with our own solutions," said Priit Vimberg, Founder and CEO of Yoga Systems. "Solutions based on our DVF99 family address all IoT OTT requirements, utilizing ULE and DECT technologies beyond simple home management, and supporting intelligent voice and visual capabilities," said Raz Kivelevich-Carmi, VP of Marketing and Business Development at DSP Group. "We're pleased to have the opportunity of leveraging Yoga's expertise and robust IoT management system to jointly shape the future of IoT," he continued.
